This month we’ve introduced website status reports. These status reports give you an indication of the stability and the quality of the web hosting service that we are providing you. It provides you with a warts and all fully transparent view of our performance as a web hosting provider and our ability to keep your website “on the air”.

Below is a real time sample of the SBIM website status report.

If ever you do suspect that your website is down or you are having trouble accessing your site, these online reports will give you an immediate indication if the issue you are experiencing is a server status issue (eg. server down, time out, maintenance etc) or another website display problem (bandwidth, database, function etc).

If you do notice that your site is not responding, you are getting error messages or the website report indicates that the server status is down, the first thing to do is not panic. In these cases we are generally the first to know as within 60 secs of your site being non-responsive our monitoring is triggered and we are immediately notified.

When we receive monitoring alerts we immediately investigate them as a matter of priority. We understand the importance of having your website available and the impact that it can have on your business should your site go down for any period of time. This is why SBIM offers a 99.9% uptime Guarantee.

If your website has downtime that is not within the 99.9% uptime guarantee, service credit can be issued equal to the following:

  • 99.9 = 0% – Downtime up to: 44 minutes 38 seconds
  • 99.9 – 99.5 = 5% – Downtime up to:3 hours 43 minutes 12 seconds
  • 99.4 – 98.5 = 10% – Downtime up to: 11 hours 9 minutes 36 seconds
  • 98.4 – 97.0 = 15% – Downtime up to: 14 hours 52 minutes 48 seconds
  • 96.9 – 96.0= 20% – Downtime up to: 29 hours 45 minutes 36 seconds
  • Below 95.9 = 30% – Downtime below: 30 hours 30 minutes 14 seconds
